I've left behind a resume filled with preppy retail (Structure and Eddie Bauer) and almost a decade in journalism to embrace my inner geek.

I've been blessed with an incredible wife and two gorgeous children. We live in beautiful Port Royal, S.C.

Small World

That whole small world thing is dead on.

Just yesterday I was tweeting with @TriadDesign out of Bluffton, and we realized that the father of one of the folks in that office lives in the same neighborhood I grew up in, the same neighborhood where my parents still live.

So it got me thinking that I should give everyone the elevator pitch on who I am and where I've been. I'm gonna do it with bullets because I always like the brevity of bullets.

  • Raised in Riverdale, N.Y. (Bronx)
  • Attended Bronx High School of Science
  • (Edit - Feb. 8, 2010) While in high school my dad worked for the School of Visual Arts, which at the time had opened a branch campus in Savannah. I visited the Savannah area several times and got to know River Street and all the historic sites very well. I was probably one of the few people in my NYC high school to read "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." Little did I know I would move to the Lowcountry almost a decade later.
  • College at SUNY (State University of New York) Albany
  • Met my wife at SUNY, she's from Clifton Park, N.Y.
  • While in Albany interned at WAMC public radio and The Legislative Gazette
  • Moved to Sumter, S.C., in 2001 and began reporting for the Sumter Item
  • Moved to Beaufort in 2002 and began reporting for the Beaufort Gazette
  • Quickly became editor
  • Burned out
  • Now Marketing Director for the Lowcountry Economic Network
  • Tons of side projects

(Ding) I think this is my floor.
