Savannah geek?
I’m not sure if everyone knows my history with the Lowcountry and Coastal Empire.
You see back in the day, like 17 years ago that is, my dad worked in Savannah several days a week, and mom and I came down to visit a couple of times over the years.
I used to joke that I was the only kid in my New York high school who had read “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
Well, now almost two decades later, I’m going to be working in Savannah.
I this week accepted the social media manager position with the Savannah College of Art and Design, better known as SCAD > The University for Creative Careers. My first day is Monday.
This will be the first time in 10 years, other than the past month that is, that I don’t draw a full-time paycheck from an S.C. business. It’s been great, and I certainly plan on staying active civically in Beaufort and with Fuse843, but I truly could not be more excited about this opportunity with SCAD and in Savannah.
So as a buddy of mine always says: onward.
